- Some exposed threads are normal and necessary for sealing.
- Use Teflon tape or Loctite on the threads for a proper seal.
- Do not overtighten or you may damage the threads.

Part seems decent quality metal, but it leaks a lot. Even tightened down and thread sealant on everything, it still leaks between the oil filter and this.
Also, wasn't much easier to install over any other method. Not worth the money, and I'll be seeing about a refund.
Good product,
easy installation
Never received it..but the gages are great
Used on 2013 WRX Hatch with 52mm Prosport Premium Oil Pressure gauge.
The plug bolts are aluminum, so be very careful with over-tightening them. I got a slight oil leak with one because it wasn’t tightened all the way, easy fix. The harness that connects with the gauge could be a few feet longer, was rough routing it around the headers (to keep away from heat) through the firewall, got it to run under the engine, up to the wheel well but it was tight and will need teflon. Would recommend grabbing a longer harness so you can route directly up (along the air filter) and run along the firewall to the grommet on the drivers side wheel well.
Does clear the plastic shield covering the oil pan/headers.
Installed on my 17’ STI. Does exactly what it’s supposed to, zero leaks. Running an oil pressure and oil temp sensor on it.
